I'm trying to figure out where an obituary for my g-g-grandfather who was last in Waverly in 1900 might be. He was 78 in 1900 when he applied for a Civil War pension. His wife died in 1888 in Waverly. In looking for newspapers that covered those times in Waverly I've come up empty.
Any suggestions on how to find out when exactly my kin passed away and find an obituary? Someone might be familiar with the newspaper from either Lexington or a neighboring area that might have covered that timeframe.
