Looking for connections to other Irish Famine Era Immigrants. Many of which were Catholic that attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lexington (Lafayette Co., Missouri). I'm starting to show connections through other Surnames that were Witnesses or Sponsors for Wedding and Baptisms that are most likely kin, but I haven't figured out how, yet.
Of most interest to me is trying to find out where in Ireland my ancestor James HUGHES came from. There is also a John HUGHES during that same time frame (1850's-1870's) that may be a cousin (not the same parents) and a Patrick HUGHES who was married to a Mary BOYLE that I'm trying to find more information about, as well as a Anna/Ellen HUGHES married to a James McGUIRE. All were contemporaries.
There is a ton of other surnames...MORGAN, MORAN, McDONALD, BOYLE, O'REGAN, HALE, FITZGERALD, FINNEGAN, KELLEY, QUIGLEY, CONNERS, etc...
