Thanks for that. I have traced the Scheffer family as well now & I'm pretty sure that Mary Scheffer & Edward Chambers were siblings so I now think that Edwards parents were Edward Chambers from Scotland & Elizabeth Mason from England.
Now I just need to fid out more about them!
