No, that's not my Jacob Miller. Mine is the son of Robert and Mahala Miller. In 1850 he's listed as Hiram J Miller. In 1870 he's listed in Shannon Co, MO as Jacob Miller.

Hiram Jacob died in 1905 in Red River Co, TX. I've seen his death certificate but there's no mention of his parents. The early Texas death certificates didn't ask for information on the parents.
All of this searching is mainly to try and uncover the maiden name of Mahala. I've been stuck on this for close to 20 years. This year I decided I was going to go all out and find out just who she was.
Of their seven children that lived to adulthood I have only been able to identify two in later years. Hiram Jacob Miller above and Margaret Ellen Miller Towns who was my ggggrandmother. She died ca 1881 in Marion Co, AR. I still am trying to discover the location of Sarah, William, Susan, Catharine Loucinda, and Thomas.
