No, I don't think it is. My Mary McArthur Lansman was born 9 Nov 1848 - I have that from a family bible record history that was compiled by my husband's cousin. She married Jesse Jones Miller on 6 Nov 1869 in Cape Girardeau (same source) and died 3 Nov 1896 in Cape Girardeau.
I have been unable to find her as Mary Lansman(any spelling) in the census and I am thinking she had been married previously to a Lansman and her maiden name is McArthur. My husband (her ggrandson) says he remembers his mom saying her grandmother was a McArthur.
