My daughter has been assigned to research civil war soldier Thomas Alverston. He enlisted in the 38th Mississippi Infanty Company D which formed in Wilkinson County. He died on June 29, 1863 at Vicksburg where he is buried.

Does anyone have any information on this man? She needs vital information such as birthdate, birthplace, parents names, siblings, wife, etc.
