Thanks for your info. I thought the plantation could have been Hugh Davis....Jefferson Davis...I'll look into that. About Woodville's chancery court and those two large books on plantations. Wonder if they mentioned about slaves or exslaves that lived there?

Maybe there was a connection...My Great Martha SCOTT Blakey died on that plantation. Scott is a common surname. I wondered if some of Martha's family remind in Wilkinson County MS.
