1. I have the marriage record of my Nancy Wallis to John Heard in Greene Co. GA in 1805. The securety was E. Finley. I assumed that this must be ELEVEN.
2. I have the Will of Nancy Wallis where she calls her dau Polly Finley. No reference to Husband's name. Everyone just TOLD me that he was Eleven. I am curious as to how they made the leap to find an obscure Will like Nancy's to find the name of Mary Wallis. This is why I am questioning the distinct possibility that there is ONLY ONE MARY and she is Mary Wallis.
3. I have a plat of Andew McCombs, brother of Nancy Mccombs Wallis, where he is on land adjoing NORRIS FINLEY.
Therefore, ALL of my documents show that there is a strong Wallis-Finley connection all the way around--marriage record, probate record, land record. Is there actually a document that says Mary WALL and has the name FINLEY written on the same paper? If not, then I think I have proven my point that there is not a Mary WALL ever married to Eleven Finley.
I'm with you. I want the DOCUMENTED truth and not some conjured up theory. I will be glad to send you these three documents in return for an original copy of the Finley Will. I want a true copy and not someone else's transcription or an abstract. Do you have such?
Thanks.
Eleanor
