Mrs. Pilgrim, 89, of DeKalb, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born and reared in Neshoba County and made her home in Kemper County most of her adult life. Mrs. Pilgrim was a founding member of DeKalb Christ Assembly Church. She was retired owner and operator of Pilgrim’s Foodliner and Pilgrim’s Furniture in DeKalb.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Pilgrim McKee of Philadelphia and Brenda Pilgrim Lockley of DeKalb; son, William Mike Pilgrim of DeKalb; grandchildren, Tabby McKee Winstead, Lesia McKee Hays, Will McKee, Brandie Goldman Penrose, Justin Goldman, William Andrew Pilgrim, and Mandy Pilgrim Christensen; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Pilgrim was preceded in death by her husband, William “Preacher” Pilgrim and a son-in-law, Willis McKee.
