I would like to correspond with you and see if we can help each other as I have been trying to connect with the family in Washington co Tn. I think that it is possible that there is a connection. So many of Thomas and Nancy's children are same as some of ours and he is old enough to be a father of my John and brother James. I know that your Gilton/Jilton family was in Horse Creek area and some are buried in Liberty Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery although I could not find the headstones there I think possibly I found the gravesites.

I also have a step grandfather whose mom was Carrie Painter/Panter and my grandmother was a Carter before marriage. I have a site on myfamily that I can invite you to.
