Hugh, I found your response today to my query of several years ago and hope you are still searching. I have finally found that my great grandfather William J Palmer married Margaret Dodd of Holmes Co, MS, in 1867, then appears with wife and three daughters in the 1870 census before moving on to Choctaw Co, MS in 1880 where they had five daughters.
Then they disappear, all of them. I am wondering if they were killed by the cyclone that ripped the area in 1883?? That is my last trace of them. Any help you can give me would be forever appreciated. I can be reached directly at johnpalmer@comcast.net. Thanks
