The Kendall's of this record are descendants of the earliest known Kendall's of VA--the immigrant Kendall's from England Thomas Kendall b.1638 m. Martha Goffe. Included in the descent is the Revolutionary War Patriot, Benjamin Kendall b.abt1738 King George Co VA d.16 Feb 1817 Nelson Co KY m. Elizabeth Jameson b.1767; his papers in the National Archives are "R-5857 and in them he notes his participation in the famous battle and taking of the Town of Kaskaskia on the far frontier: "he was a soldier of the Revolution and was with the commander when he took Kaskaski on the Wabash River in Illinois,...". Details of this Kendall Family Line are contained in the hand written unpublished mss of Hazel Kendall of 1965 & should be available from the LDS Family History Libraries. See especially pages36, 37, 37a, of Hazel's mss. Tying to those in the family bible, Hazel notes that Edward Johnson Kendall m. Lucretia Wright; he was son of Jeremiah S Kendall m.Elizabeth Jackson; Lucretia was dau Reuben Wright m. 1819 Kasuriah Jackson.
