Found the correct spelling of "Abermarlais" which is the "place name" of the free-hold lands & manor, of Sir Thomas ap John JONES/JOHNES (1530-1614) of Abermarlais, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

His father was John ap Thomas ap Nicholas ap Gruffyd/fedd etc.; his mother was Elizabeth VAUGHAN, dtr of Sir Thomas VAUGHAN of Golden Grove , & of the VAUGHAN fam. of Bredwardine, Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Sir Thomas JONES/JOHNES is related to (by marr, his step-son) Sir John PERROTT (1527-1593) through his marriage to Sir John's mother, Lady Mary BERKLEY(widow of Sir Thomas PERROTT). They had some 7-8 ch together.

Lady Mary marr Sir Thomas PERROTT of Haroldston, while a Lady-in-Waiting at King Henry VIII TUDOR's court. Henry VIII knighted him at their marriage. It is rumored that Sir John PERROTT is the bastard son of Henry VII.
Mary BERKELEY is dtr of Sir James BERKLEY(son of Sir Maurice BERKLEY of Haroldston, Wales).
