Hello, I wonder if there could be any connection to the Friese you mention as witnesses to the baptism and my great, great grandparents who lived in Winona. Their son, August was my great grandfather. The trouble is that every family had an August back then. And Frederick and Wilhelm, etc.

Lived in Frieseland, Germany and migrated to Winona Minnesta at age 14. He was a tailor by trade. Later homesteaded in Davenport, North Dakota is buried in the Davenport, Cemetery east of Davenport.
