Three brothers, Tillotson, Alvah, and Jesse Ewers, settled in Washtenaw County between 1825 and 1828. Tillotson and Alvah located at a settlement named Geddes in the Ann Arbor area, while Jesse ended up in Augusta Twp. In 1829 Alvah married Jane Geddes, who was related to the Geddes family of that area, and moved to Detroit. Tillotson moved to Unadilla Twp. of Livingston Co. before 1839. Jesse remained in Augusta Twp.

My brickwall has been determining the maiden names of Tillotson's wife, Hannah, and Jesse's wife, Abigail. Tillotson married in New York, but I believe Jesse married in Michigan. I'm wondering if their wive's families also lived in the area of the Geddes settlement. Any ideas would be appreciated!

The Ewers brothers were born in Lee,MA. They lived in Cayuga Co. NY before coming to Michigan. I have lots of information on the Ewers brothers ancestors and descendants that I would love to share with other descendants!
