Cynthia Wellman and David Sherwood were my ggg'parents. They had the following children: 1)Elizabeth Lucinda 1840-1882(my gg'ma who died shortly after childbirth)2)Ann 3)Richard 1846-1860 (died as a teen)4)Lucy Emeline "Emma".
Cynthia and David had moved to Lebanon, Laclede, MO shortly after Richard's death and in 1863 David was hanged by Quantrill's Raiders who raided their farmstead. Elizabeth had married and gone from home but wife Cynthia, and daughters Ann & Emma witnessed this. David was buried on their homestead. Cynthia and the two girls returned to MI and made their home at Duplain, Clinton, MI. Emma married Henry Baker and they ran a hotel in Duplain. David's sister, Frances A.
