Could you give us any dates connected with James WILLIAMS and his family? We are wondering if there is any connection between them and George G. WILLIAMS, who probably lived in Menominee MI or in Marinette WI, just across the river. We have no dates for him, but he married Margaret /Maggie VIAU somewhere in that area, probably before 1900.

The only date we have is for Maggie's birth, which was 23 Dec. 1874 in Malone, Franklin Co NY. Her parents were Angenor VIAU and Esther /Minna BOYER, who moved their family from NY sometime before July 1884.

George and Maggie had 4 known children, who were probably b. in the Marinette - Menominee area: Gordon WILLIAMS [mar. Melva HALVERSON]; Catherine WILLIAMS [mar. Dr. John Buckley]; Ann Margaret /Maggie WILLIAMS [mar. David BLISS]; and George WILLIAMS [mar. Eva DEBASCUS]. Some of these children later lived in Beloit, Rock Co. WI, where George & Maggie are bur. in Calvary Cemetery.
