Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I do have a certified copy of William Forton's death record saying it was accidental, but no further description was provided in the "cause of death" box. I was hoping if I could find an obit it would tell about the accident. A family member gave me photos of his headstone at St. Peter.

I had found that probate record listing as well and have been trying to decide whether I should write for a copy. I note you are the person to contact at the Macomb Library. Should I be sending you a formal request at the library address on Cass Ave. for that record and to also check on those other papers (the Utica Sentinel and the Detroit Free Press) that you mentioned? What fee amount should I send?
