Can you tell me more about your Lyman...when did he die? Who did he marry? I too am trying to put the pieces together for a Lyman and Amanda Chaffee which I know to be Otis Chaffee and Grace Whipple's children but just want to verify we aren't looking at the same Lyman because mine was in Hillsdale Co, Lenawee and Ottawa that I know .
