Hi Judith,

It has been awhile and I thought I would catch up with you and your query about Stephen HAVENS. He was b. 2/25/1799 in NJ and d.5/12/1885 in MI. He married Mary WILLIAMSON of NY and who was b.5/3/1812 and d.6/28/1884 in MI. They had eight children:

Philip W. HAVENS b.11/4/1827
John Franklin HAVENS b.5/17/1830
Mercy Ann HAVENS b.8/14/1833
Charles H. HAVENS b.5/26/1837
Eli B. HAVENS b. 11/3/1840
William F. HAVENS b.4/27/1843
Mary Jane HAVENS b.10/27/1846
George M. HAVENS b.11/2/1848

George M. HAVENS married Caroline E. MERKLE/MERKEL and they had six children. Their third child was Ida May HAVENS b.6/6/1876 in MI and d.6/1963 in KS. She married Fred D. GARRISON of Anderson County, KS. George & Caroline are my
GG Grandparents and Fred & Ida May my Great Grandparents who lived well into their 90's. I was 19 yoa when the passed away. I have just started putting some real time in researching this family and have very little from the notes of Fred & Ida May's daughter Gladys M. GARRISON. It has been suggested that Stephen's parents are John HAVENS and Sarah ARNOLD and that Stephen has at least one brother by the name of William HAVENS. I also have a Amanda ? who maybe was Philip's wife and also having them with three children: Adelia Ann (who died as an infant), Charles H., William H. HAVENS
