The Lapeer Genealogical Society has a book for sale called "Pioneers and History of Lapeer County" or something along that line, written by J Dee Ellis in 1978. He has a section on Augustus Hilliker and wife Mary Atwell. There is a photo of Abel Atwell, wife and dau. in the Dryden Bicentennial Book, as well as a few tidbits on Philo. There is an Atwell Road in Attica Twp., presumably named for David, son of Philo. Hope this helps. I do have quite a bit on the Atwell family, but just a little on the Hillikers. They are mentioned frequently in the Lapeer County Democrat/Lapeer County Press, mostly under the town Dryden. Microfilm can be found at the State Archives in Lansing, Lapeer Library and at the newspaper. They all have the same years. Philo's wife's name I believe was Meaker/Meeker.
