I am looking for information for Jack F. Smith, b. 1915, who lived in Lapeer (son of Earl T. Smith and Franc Francis). The Social Security Death Index has an entry for someone by that name and born that year, from Lapeer, who died in December 1981. I understand that the Lapeer County Genealogical Society used to have a card catalog with obituaries and other information (hopefully they still do). Would anyone be able to check that catalog to see if there is an obituary for this person? That may tell me if it the Jack Smith I am looking for. With Smith, you never know.
