DOUD, JR., ROBERT J. Kalamazoo, MI. Passed away Monday evening June 29, 2015 at his residence. Robert was born December 21, 1952. He was the son of Robert J. and Carol (Nies) Doud Sr. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with General Motors for over 35 years before retiring. Robert served with the Comstock Fire Department for 41 years with the last 17 as Deputy Chief. He was also the Assistant Fire and Safety Director at Michigan International Speedway for 34 years. In 1990, he was united in marriage to Susan Kay (Phillips) Doud who survives along with stepson, Christopher Bowman of Kalamazoo. His parents, Robert (Carol) Doud of Comstock; four siblings, Ron (Kathy) Doud and Rick (Loni) Doud, all of Kalamazoo, Deborah (Paul) Corbeil of Pittsburgh, PA, and Randy (Janet) Doud of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no visitation and no services. Memorials may be directed to the Comstock Firefighter's Memorial Site Fund, West Michigan Cancer Center, or the Great Lakes Burn Camp, Jackson, MI.
