Marie E. WETHERBEE, Kalamazoo, died March 1, 1997 at Borgess Medical Center. Mrs. WETHERBEE was born January 7, 1900 in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was a graduate of Parsons Business College and was a Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She was a LPN working at the Kalamazoo State Hospital and T. B. Sanitarium retiring in 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1979 and her son-in-law, Parker HEIGHTON in 1988. Surviving are two children, Ellen HEIGHTON of Kalamazoo and Fred WETHERBEE and his wife Carol of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie BAER of Elkhart, Indiana. Friends may call beginning Monday at Betzler Funeral Home Stadium Dr., W. of 131 Serving People of All Faiths where services will be held Tuesday 10 AM Rev. Nelson Lumm, Pastor First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw officiating. Interment Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
