I have been researching every Havens family in the Ingham County area and have not yet found a connection to my Havens line. I took the following notes from the Ingham Co. Michigan Pioneer Record V. 3 p. 118 (found in genealogy collection of State Library of Michigan,Lansing): Hezekia Ferguson of Ingham Township, Ingham Co. and Dover, Lenewee Co. married to Frances Havens. Her parents were stated to be Joseph Havens and Mary Weed. It did not state the source of this information. I have not checked further on this particular Havens line. It would be a good idea to check into the Havens families of Lenewee County.

I am trying to determine the parents of William Alexander HAVENS, born 1 October 1820 in New York, married Sarah REASON 1 October 1842 in Stockbridge, Ingham County. They moved to Vernon Township, Shiawassee County before 1850, then to Saginaw Michigan where he died 20 March 1855. His widow Sarah moved back to the Stockbridge area where she married Charles ARNOLD of Ingham Township, Ingham County on 24 May 1857. Children of William A. and Sarah HAVENS were Henry b. 1843, Sarah Louisa b. 1846, Charles Vernon b. 1850, George H. b. 1852, and William Alexander b. 1855. Children of George and Sarah ARNOLD were Mary Ann b. 1858 and Ida b. 1861.
