Hi Cara,
That information is much appreciated, and I have made appropriate changes. I didn't get your message as you posted it directly to this board, rather than as a reply to a previous message. I found it, more or less by accident, looking for other Michigan Flewelling's. A response to this message will go to an e-mail address I only check one every two weeks or so.
My machine does not handle graphics well. For some reason, it won't do JPG format, only bit maps, and these latter are huge in size. Most annoying. (Rats!) The only thing I can do is save everything to disc, and reboot. A project that would probably take a week as I would have to cull old compositions and organize files so that I can find things again. While I am keen on photos, it's something that will have to wait.
I appreciate you keeping in touch on your findings, as the only way recent generations can be adequately recorded is by persons more intimately connected with that particular part of the family.
As for Tina and Barbara not responding, this is not unusual. Some people have only a mild interest in genealogy, and sometimes reluctant to discuss close family. Not a bad attitude, but I understand your frustration. Others , while Flewelling descendants, do not give the family priority, and may be overwhelmed with other lines. One can only hope that either an interested party will see your postings, or that someone will refer a family member with greater interest to you. Also, considering the posting this is in response to, make sure you are replying to the addressee, and not just posting a message on this board.
Thomas
