This is a very old post, but in the hopes that you are still active...
My "McTeague" ancestors settled in Grenville, Argenteuil, Quebec from Ireland, sometime between 1825-1836. I have yet to confirm where they were from in Ireland. They settled in Avoca, Harrington, Point au Chene, Grenville, Buckingham, Thurso areas. Most records between 1831 and 1870 are from Notre-Dame-des-Sept Douleurs Catholic parish in Grenville. Census data just says they were from Ireland. Many of the families they married into were from Mayo, Ireland. Some of the families surnames are McAndrew, McKale, Matthews, Brady, Dwyer, Sherlock and McNulty. I have one death cert that has been translated from French that references Cavan, Ireland.
How did you make your connection from Quebec to Antrim?
