I found the same entry in the 1930 Census and wondered about it. Then I found out Catherine was still single in 1921 when she was listed as maid of honor at her sister's wedding. (Her sister was my dad's 1st wife). Catherine was the daughter of Michael Crowley of Co. Cork and his wife Bridget Donnelly who married in Boston in 1892. Michael's parents were listed as "John" and "Ellen". Michael's death certificate (Ohio, 1941) lists his mother as Helen "Seberea." That's as far as I can go on that line. However, my dad's Grandmother was also a Crowley--Mary Crowley from Ballineen, Cork, who married James Mahoney in 1857. I don't know any more about her, but I wondered if the two lines could be related somehow (in other words did my dad marry a distant relative?!?!?!) I'm finding the name Crowley all over the place, though, so it appears to be a very common name!
