Joel Bruce was born 1805 in Greenwich, MA the son of James Bruce and Sarah (Sally) Wright. His brother was Ebenezer Bruce born 1800 also in Greenwich, MA.

Joel Bruce is found in the 1850 census - Nashua, Hillsborough , NH as follows:

Harriet 43 VT
Nancy 17 MA
Angeline 11 MA
Joel 6 NH

Another male child age 14 born NH is listed, can not read the name. The child listed as Nancy is hard to read also.

What happened to this Bruce family? Can not locate them after the 1850 census. They seem to have migrated back and forth between New Hampshire and Massachusetts up to this point.

His brother Ebenezer Bruce married in Greenwich MA to Almira Blackmer. They moved to Woodbury VT and remained there. Can not locate Joel or their parents James & Sarah or Sally Wright.
