Looking for an old map or current photos that show the site known as "Dunham’s Mill" which was located (in the 1600s) "near Brown’s Blacksmith’s shop" in Marshfield, MA.
• A grant of land was given to Josiah Winslow and William Ford for the purpose of erecting a mill there. Not long after the completion of the mill, William bought the half off Josiah Winslow and became the sole owner.
• The mill stayed in the Ford family for several generations; it was rebuilt and often repaired, the last time under the direction of Daniel Webster who owned it at the time of his death.
• William Fords’s residence is listed as "near Havelly Beach." He was living in Duxbury in 1643 and sold land there to F. West in 1661; maps or photos of this area are also being sought.
