Found Hersey information in -
The Hersey Family , Tracing the Descendants of William Hersey of Hingham , MA, by: Stephen E. Hersey, Self published 1999 , 14th Ed. Feb. 2000

And also the following -
History of Hingham, Mass by: George Lincoln, (pub. by Town 1893), Vol 4, p. 121. "Prouty - Jesse m. in Hing. Dec. 5, 1802, Deidama Hersey, dau. of Jonathan and Mary (Berry) Hersey.
She was b. in Hing. Feb. 12, 1784. They prob. removed from here.
Child, b. in Hing., - Henry H., 1806, d. at Chelsea, Mass., 31 Aug. 1863, 58th yr.

Jesse PROUTY died 14 Jun 1833, in Scituate, Plymouth, MA
