WESTON - William Fenton Wiseman of Weston and Harwich Port died of pulmonary fibrosis on April 8, 2008.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (White) Wiseman. He is also survived by a daughter, Dr. C. Victoria Wiseman and grandson Preston Stump, a son, Commander Christopher Wiseman, USN, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and grandson Nicholas.
A graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Cornell University, he earned an MBA from Babson College.
He was associated with Little Brown & Co. and David Godine Publishing in Boston, and served as controller and business manager of the Children's Museum of Boston from 1980 to 2000.
He was a member of the Union Boat Club in Boston, Eastward Ho! Country Club of Chatham and the Stone Horse Yacht Club of Harwich Port.
He was a longtime member of the Board of Trustees of the Golden Ball Tavern Museum of Weston and the steering committee of the Seminarians, an American decorative arts study group in Boston.
A celebration of his life with music and a reception will be held Friday, May 9 at 5 p.m. at Gore Place, 52 Gore St., Waltham.
