Morey A. Allen married Lizzie E. Griffin on 26 May 1912. The microfilm of the marriage record is missing at the library. But they were married by Rev. George Winthrop Sargent. A check of the 1900 federal census shows Morey living with his mother and another sibling. The 1880 federal census as extracted by the LDS Church show the family of John A. Allen, age 38, born MA, Clara L. Allen (wife) age 34 born MA, Harry B. Allen, (son), age 13, born MA, Mora A. Allen (dau- but really son), age 9, born MA and L. M. Allen (dau), age 4, born MA.
John A. Allen died on 6 June 1899 in Natick, MA of Typhoid fever complicated with cerebro spinal meningitis (19 days). Occupation was Engineer. Age 57 yrs, 10 mon. Born in Natick, Father was Elijah born in Medway, MA and mother was Mary A. Adams born in Northbridge, MA. Burial was in Dell Park Cemetery.
Clara L. Allen (m/n= Studley h/o John A). Died 30 January 1931 age 86 yrs, 8 mon, 5 dys. Born in Abington, MA, father was Alvin born in Rockland, MA and mother was Mercy B. Esty born in Abington, Ma. Cause of death was Chronic Myocarditis. Burial was at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick.
Clara's obituary says she died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Arthur Smith on Marion Street, Natick. She was survived by a daughter Mrs. Arthur Smith and one son Mory, a grandchild, Clara Allen, and great-great grand children of Providence, and Pawtucket, RI and Detroit Mich.
John A. Allen's obituary only mentions he left a wife, two sons and a daughter. The obit said that he was a foreman at the J. O. Wilson shoe factory heel department.
