Was just looking at old micro fiches, they do not have any prior to 1885. SO you will most likely not be able to get an obituary from 1870. And as for obituaries that early they only stated your name, where you lived and when you died, and like the other person stated unless they were important they didnt get a fuller obit. My great great grandfather and Uncle also died in Haverhill(they were born in Ireland too) and their was nothing for them really either, and the Uncle died in 1909(still no full obits if you werent someone important) sorry.
