Bonnie: just saw your quiry about a William W. Weitzel. I have a large Weitzel database for Baltimore City among which is a William Weitzel born 1845 to Jakob Michael Weitzel and his wife Margaretha Hammen Weitzel. In the 1880 US Census for Baltimore City William Weitzel is found as head of the following household: 1880 US Census 419 Eastern Ave William Weitzel WM 34 gasfitter/plumber Md Germ X2 Eliza wife William 11 son Emma 8 dau Mary 3 dau George 5/12 Jan 1880 son. His son, William appears to have been born about 1868/9. Could this be a link with the William Weitzel for whom you are searching? If so, I have ancestry dating to the 1600s. Rev. Conradi was a Lutheran minister in Baltimore who served several congregations including I believe, Trinity Lutheran and the First German United Evangelical Church. Both of these congregations were located in the area of current Little Italy/Broadway. Trinity is defunct, records are at the MSA. First United is now part of UCC and still functioning. Their records are also at MSA.
Hope this helps
