Edward RUMLEY purchased 300 acres of land in Cecil County on the Sassafras River from Thomas ROPER by deed recorded in Cecil County Book 2, Page 147. This was part of a parcel owned by Jarvis MORGAN which he bequeathed to his half-brother, half-sister and niece.
See my post:
"Sale of 300 Acre Cecil County Parcel by Thomas ROPER To Edward RUMLEY on 13 Jul 1702" (25 Jun 2013 12:59AM GMT)
http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.roper/524.3.1/mb.ashxThe ROPERs were in Anne Arundel. I am trying to run down what became of the parcels on the Sassafras River which were bequeathed to Alice DAVIS and Mary ROPER. I also wonder about the disposition of the parcel purchased by Edward RUMLEY.
I wanted to call this transaction to the attention of those with an interest in Edward RUMLEY.
