New Orleans is broken down into districts. Meaning you can live in the uptown area in district number five,so the d could stand for district and also we have north and south streets meaning if you live across canal street you are on the south side of town and if you live on the other side it's known as the north. Really you would have to know New Orleans to understand the breakdown,but I was just trying to give you a lil break down of our way of of lingo down here.
