I am looking for information on my gggrandfather, Owen Murta, from Ireland. So far we know he became a citizen in 1871 in Pendleton county. In 1874 he married Harriet (Isobel) Mckinney (daughter of Darius and Mary) from Lewis County. In 1875 or 76 they had a son, William Murta. After that, his wife and son are on the 1880 census living with her parents, no mention of Owen. Someone named Owen Marta is listed on the 1880 census in Pendleton county living as a boarder at the residence of a man named John Mauts. Don't know if this is the same person. After that we can find nothing. However, we know his wife married again in 1881.

I have no idea where to go next. Please help.
