MAXWELL, William and Celia HIX. Surety, John MAXWELL. Married 09 October 1808 by Richard Barrier. Note: (beautifully written) this is to certify that I Willis Hix am willing and have gave consent that William Maxwell shall by my son in law given under my hand this 8th day of October 1808 by Willis (X) His - witness, John Maxwell and Aaron W. Cotton (Whitecotton).

I did not find Willis HIX in the Wayne Co., KY Census Index. There are these HICKS in the 1820 - Hannah, Jacob, Tabutha, and William.
