Yes they are the parents. We have several cousins who are researching the HICKS line. It is only HICKS unless you see one of Robert Miles sons named that way. His 2nd wife only filled out William Hix birth certificate and spelled it that way (family legend is she did it out of spite).

Mary E 'Polly' Van Hooser is my direct line some know her as Mary and some Polly. Polly is a common nick name for Mary.

If you like look me up on ancestry my tree name is: Az's Winding Roots, I can help you with a lot of answers we are tracking down every child of our direct line and have most of them figured out. We have found Robert Miles burial and a tombstone has been placed by one of my cousins. We are still looking for a few a lot in the cemetery where they are buried are unmarked and we believe they are there we just have to find proof and sadly cemetery records are not helping.
