I don't know if my McCarters relate to those localities. My Uncle "Mac" (Wilbur R. McCarter, Jr.) was born in Phoenix, AZ. His father was Wilbur R. McCarter Sr. b. 5 Dec 1889 in St. Louis, Missouri, d. Jan 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona. Wilbur Sr. married Vivian Jenkins, b. 17 Dec. 1893, d. Sep 1969, and they had 5 children, Wilbur Jr., Conrad, Marjorie, Joanne and Kenneth. I don't know who Wilbur Sr's father is at this point. I have a cousin that I have not contacted yet in regard to genealogy that may know more. If I get some new info, I'll let you know.
