Hello, Thelma,

In Ohio County Kentucky you will find the marriage you are looking for:

Source: Marriages and Early Consents 1799-1800 - Ohio County, Kentucky by Bettie A. Cook and Michael L. Cook

23 Nov 1842 - John W. Younts to Nancy McConnell
-------------

They lived in Muhlenberg County in 1850:

1850 Muhlenberg County KY Census by Marian G. Hammers
382-382 - J.W. Yonts, 31, Farmer, $1,100 (Real estate) NC
Nancy 27 KY
Archibald C. 5, KY
Eliza F. 3, KY

then

1860 Muhlenberg County KY Census by Marian G. Hammers
628-594 - John W. Yonct, 40, Farmer, $2,000/$3,000, NC
Nancy 36 Dom. KY
Archibald C. 16 Farm. KY
Eliza 14 KY

In Nelson Creek Cemetery, Muhlenberg County (Marian G. Hammers) is the listing for what is believed to be John W. Yonts death:

John Y.(?) Yonts
Sept 18 1818 - July 16 ___?___

1870 Muhlenberg County KY Census Transcribed by Hammers
196-196 - J.W. Sharp, 29, Farmer, $1,200/$500 KY
Eliza 23, KY
Mary R. 4 KY
Nancy L. 2
Sarah A. or H., 10/12 b. Jul KY
Nancy Yonts, 48, Housekeeper, ---/$400 KY

Nancy was enumerated twice in this census:
403-B - 20-20 - A.C. Yonts, 26, Farmer, $400/$200, KY
Mary E. 20, KY
Callier C. 1 KY

21-21 - Nancy Yonts, 46, $500/$200, KY
J.W. Sharp, 26, Farmer, KY
Eliza F. Sharp 23, KY
Mary R. Sharp 4, KY
Nannie L. or Q., 2, KY
Sarah A. 9/12 b. Oct. KY

The point here is that John W. Yontz had died between 1860 and 1870 censuses

Wife Nancy (McConnell)Yontz married a 2nd time:
Muhlenberg County KY Marriage
21 Mar 1878 - Wm. Calaway - Mrs. Nancy Yonts

She is buried in Nelson Creek Cemetery by Charley Sharp s/o JW and ENF Sharp. (Somewhere I picked up that Eliza's full name was Elizabeth Nancy Yontz. Don't know what the F. stood for.)

Nancy Callaway - 21 Sep 1821 - 19 Aug 1886

Now concerning what Nancy McConnell married JW Yonts. Several years ago I worked on the McConnell. We were never able to find conclusive proof but here is what we came up with:
Fannie Davis d/o Henry Davis and Fanny Randall m. James McConnell in 1817. Their children were:
Wiliam H. McConnell
John B. McConnell
Fanny McConnell
Nancy McConnell
Lucinda McConnell (m. John L. Yonts)
James McConnell
Elizabeth McConnell

At another time (I have company just now) I would be glad to share my McConnell data. I feel pretty sure that it was this Nancy McConnell who married John Warner Yontz.
