Darlene, I know you wrote this in 2003, but hoping you will see this. I am just now starting on the Gilliam part of my SO'S family. His mother is Clara Gilliam who married Willard Martin Slone. Clara's mother was Alta (maiden name unknown), who died in March, 1943 6 days after Clara was born. Alta was married to Add Gilliam (Clara insists it's Add, not Edd.) Clarissa Gilliam is Alta's mother, according to Clara. You mentioned a Clarissa in this post. Is this the Clarissa we are looking for? Any help will be appreciated.
