Hello When you were in the High Ground Cem did you find a marker for John Shacklett and wife Matilda Lasley Shacklett?
They married Mar 20, 1856. Matilda is my great-great Aunt. I am trying to find her mother and father also. She was Elizabeth Lasley and I am not sure of his name. He was not present when the cencus was done. However my great grandfather said he died in 1873 of the flux. That also was the year of the cholera epidemic. Elizabeth died from spotted fever in 1880. If you run across these folks I would appreciate you letting me know. Thanks
