Doug, We do have a marriage certificate for Anderson and Katherine (Catherine) Tucker in London, Laurel Co. Ky in 1849. Is it possible that since she was underage that Tucker was a false name? Or is it possible that she was actually a Tucker and that her mother Sarah married a Roberts and Kitty (Koltina, Katherine, Catherine) took the name of her step father Roberts. You are correct that there was something wrong with their marriage. She was underage in 1849. By 1849 records of the family show that Sarah "Sally" Bowles Roach was a widow. John Roach the father of Anderson and Thomas was not living. Records of the father of Armina and Susan Roach say that their father was Thomas Roach. So did Sally marry another Roach after the death of John. In 1830 Sally and the boys were in the household without a husband. Within a few years the land that was that of John Roach was put into the name of his surviving spouse Sarah (Sally) Roach. It is my theory and just my theory that After the divorce of Catherine and Anderson( sometime after 1870, that she might have married a Bolen and that is how this name came into the family. After the demise of Wm. Henry's first wife, Rebecca Isaacs Roach, the younger two children were raised by the Bolen family. Just a theory. Please give me your thoughts on this.. thanks and great to be in contact again Cousin :) Debbie
