William Harold Bailey, 62, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, died Friday, January 27, 2012. He was born March 6, 1949, in Greenup County, Kentucky, to the late Edward Bailey and Mamie Brown Bailey.

He was employed by Detroit Steel, CSX Railroad, and was an independent truck driver and farmer. He was also a member of Portsmouth Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara Gayle Bailey; one daughter, Diana Griffith; a granddaughter, Whitney Griffith; one sister, Mary Louise Bailey of Troy, Ohio; three brothers, Ernest (Carol) Bailey of Greenup, Kentucky, Troy (Judy) Bailey of Troy, Ohio, and Ronald (Donna) Bailey of South Shore, Kentucky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at F.C. Daehler Mortuary Company in Portsmouth with the Reverend Peter Michael officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Daehlers.
