Mr. Ammon T. Hancock, son of the late Mr. Favlious J. Hancock and Mrs. Louvenia Sullivan Hancock, was born 24 Mar 1892 in Green Co. And departed this life at 6 am Wed. 17 Jun 1981 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 89 years, 2 months and 23 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Grace Buckner 26 Nov 1925 and she preceded him in death 11 Sept 1977. To this union were born 6 children. Surviving are: F.B. Hancock, Louisville; Russell and Maxwell Hancock, both of Greensburg. Mrs. Kayvena Davis preceded her father in death 17 Jul 1971 also Allison and Talmadge Hancock preceded their father in death. Mr. Hancock is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Fri. 19 Jun 1981 with burial in the Fry Cem. Revs. Owen Logsdon and Ivan Jones officiated. Pallbearers: Samp Acree, James Allen Kelly, Truman McMahan, Nelson Squires, Larry Clark, Richard Clark.
