Mrs. Maude Frances Marr, daughter of the late Mr. Elijah Milby and Mrs. Elizabeth Frances Corum Milby, was born July 17, 1900 in Green Co. and departed this life at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 1978 at the St. Anthony Hospital in Louisville. She was 78 years, three months and 22 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forrest Cumberland Presbyterian Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Elva Leslie Marr October 15, 1920 and be preceded her in death May 20, 1967. To this union were born six sons and seven daughters. Surviving are: Mrs. Kenny Adams, Mrs. Katherine Atwell, Mrs. Marianna Underwood, Donald Marr, Esau Marr, and Roger Dale Marr all of Louisville; Mrs. Rosetta McCubbin, Mrs. Maybelle Berry, Mrs. Geneva Hall, Mrs. Jean Judd, James Marr, Sammy Marr and Jacob Marr all of Greensburg. David E. Marr preceded his mother in death at the age of five years. Mrs. Marr is also survived by one brother: Roscoe Milby, Greensburg and one sister: Mrs. Ida Davis, Greensburg; 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 1978 with burial in the Milby Cemetery at Gabe. Rev. Shiley Beard officiated, assisted by Rev. William Scott. Pallbearers were: Larry Hall, Mike Donan, Phillip Berry, Ronnie Marr, Harlan Atwell and Jerry Underwood.
