Elisha Shelby Milby, 87, died Sunday, June 20, after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2:20 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, in the Gabe Church. The Reverend V. A. Jones, assisted by the Reverend T. A. Richerson, has charge of the service, and burial was in the Milby Cemetery. He first married Miss Bettie Corum, who preceded him in death in 1930. To this union 11 children were born. Surviving are Mrs. – Akin, Mrs. Lillie Larimore, Mrs. Ida Davis, Mrs. Maud Marr, -- all of Green County and Charlie Milby, Dayton, Ohio. In 1937 he married Mrs. Bird Chaudoin, who survives. Besides his wife and children he is survived by a sister, Mrs. M. Sweeney; a brother, E. P. Milby; 52 grandchildren, and – great-grandchildren. Pall bearers were Herbert Milby, William Milby, James Marr, R. C. Milby, Jr., Woodruff Larimore, and Verdin Milby. Flower girls were Thracy Hall, Georgie Davis, Geneva Hall, . . .
