Helen Beatrice Jeffries Creason, 79, of Green County, Ky., died on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky. Daughter of the late Willie and Dora Coomer Jeffries, she was born on Sunday, June, 29, 1924, in Green County. Creason was a member of Russell Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was married to James Franklin Creason on March 6, 1944. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2003. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sherry Creason of Greensburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Timmy Pierce of Greensburg and Susie and David Dobson of Summersville, Ky.; three sisters, Dorothy Pierce, Roxie Thompson and Cleo Pierce, all of Green County; one brother, Mitchell Jeffries of Green County; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garnett Jeffries and Olin Jeffries; and one sister in infancy. Funeral will be conducted Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Warf Cemetery. The Rev. Mitchell Jeffries will officiate. Pallbearers are Barry Jeffries, Donnie Young, Jessie Pierce, Richard Jeffries, Randal Dobson, Robbie Young and Larry Jeffries.
